Using a startup fund raised through a crowdfunding campaign, Charlie Liu gave a highly successful benefit solo recital Saturday July 22, 2017. With good advance ticket sales, reasonable turnout at the gate, adding in Charlie’s “Sign & Sale” proceeds at the concert for his debut CD “Live, Dream, Love“, and a generous donation by Charlie Liu himself as well as his family, a total of $2700+ was raised for Rescue Music Foundation!!
This fund will be used for future concerts. As Charlie Liu said “I hope that the Foundation concerts will involve more young musicians and magnify my efforts many times to help the community”. So far so good, the small startup fund was only enough for one concert. But Charlie used it to raise enough funds for at least a few more concerts. Hopefully with more events and more helping hands, we can make this snowball on and impact many young musicians and communities!!
